Gesture Control for the Sberbank-City Video Wall
Up to 10 meters away—no remote, no buttons. Just a gesture. Interactive presentations, applications and games that respond to a movement of the hand.
For the huge video wall installed in the atrium of Sberbank-City, United 3D Labs developed a unique system for controlling content with gestures. The system opens up a completely new user experience: dozens of people can now interact with the screen at the same time, either coming right up to it or standing up to 10 meters away.
The technology makes it possible to control a wide range of content formats, from presentations and training applications to full-fledged interactive games. No physical controllers, remotes or touch panels are needed: the interface responds to hand movements in the air, recognizing commands instantly and accurately. Being able to interact with a huge screen in a public space through gestures makes this project a real center of attention.
The system works equally well in general viewing mode and in individual interaction, for example when a visitor comes closer and "touches" the video wall. This versatility makes it possible not only to show content but also to engage the audience in live interaction.
The project has become a vivid example of how modern technology makes the digital environment accessible and intuitive. Gesture control turns viewing into participation, and the video wall into a living platform for communication.
